ACODE now ICDE Associate member

The International Council of Open and Distance Education recently invited ACODE to accept Associate Membership status with ICDE, which the ACODE Executive accepted.

Announcing appointment of new ACODE Executive Officer

The President has much pleasure in announcing that Sue Hollands has agreed to take up the role of ACODE’s Executive Officer on a fixed term basis for this year following the resignation of Anita Clarke announced last week.

We are delighted to have someone of Sue’s experience and capabilities to step into the role that Anita has performed so well over the past 2 years. Please replace contact details for the Secretariat with the amendment sue.hollands@canberra.edu.au

Sue comes to us from the AICTEC Secretariat where she was Executive Officer for 3 years. Before that Sue worked for the South Australian Department of Education as a project manager and consultant in ICT at the Technology School of the Future.

So, welcome Sue. We are looking forward to meeting you at ACODE 52.

Greetings to ACODE Members from Gordon

On behalf of Executive I would like to extend season’s greetings to all ACODE Colleagues.

I would also like to thank you all for your involvement in, and support for ACODE’s activities over the past year. It has been a very successful year and we believe ACODE is going from strength to strength. This reflects the support of you, the members, for ACODE as it is through your engagement and input that the organisation is able to add so much value to the sector. We look forward to further positive progress and success in the new year.

We wish you all a happy Christmas, an enjoyable New year and a very relaxing and deserved break and we look forward to working with you in 2010.
